Important Surface Warning
Do not apply Spoke® to aluminum, magnesium, plastic or painted surfaces.
Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before treating the entire wheel. Acid-sensitive or specialty wheel finishes can be permanently damaged by improper chemical use.
Dilution Ratio
Standard Cleaning:
Dilute 1 part Spoke® to 3 parts water (1:3).
Heavy Brake Dust & Severe Contamination:
Spoke® may be diluted as strong as 1:1 with water for difficult contamination. Always test the wheel surface before proceeding.
California VOC Applications:
For compliance with California VOC regulations, dilute the product at least 1:2 with water.
How to Use Spoke® Wire Wheel Cleaner
Step 1 – Rinse & Apply
Thoroughly rinse the wheel with water.
Apply the properly diluted Spoke® solution evenly to the wheel surface. Allow approximately 1–2 minutes of dwell time.
Never allow Spoke® to dry on the surface.
Agitate stubborn brake dust, rust or corrosion with an appropriate wheel brush when necessary.
Step 2 – Neutralize
Neutralize the treated surface using #713 Special Cleaner diluted 1:30 with water.
Proper neutralization is especially important when working with an acid-based wheel cleaner.
Step 3 – Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse the wheel completely with clean water, making sure all chemical residue has been removed.
Step 4 – Dry
Wipe the wheel with a clean, dry microfiber towel or suitable detailing cloth.
